VANA Hosts 2007 NEANA Fall Conference
Thank you to VANA President Carroll Ruhlman & Secretary/Treasurer Jon Bennett for a successful 07 NEANA Fall Conference. Past president Michael Wooton and Jon Bennett chose the Equinox in Manchester Vt. and are pleased to recognize other board members who helped plan and made the VANA 50th event a success were Mark Green, Moira Fratini, Deb Norris, Nicole Stone. Special Thanks to spouses Emmy , Bobbie, and John. Thanks also to Mary Fratini for photographing the event.

The NEANA 2007 Fall Meeting, was attended by CRNA's and other professionals on October 20-21st at the Equinox Hotel in Manchester, Vermont.
Equinox Resort and Spa offers activities from golf to fly fishing to falconry, in addition to the local lures of Manchester. The hotel is sited on 1,300 acres, between the Green and Taconic Mountains and features 183 rooms and suites. It was named one of Travel and Leisure’s 500 Greatest Hotels, one of Golf Week’s America’s Best Resort Golf Courses, and received a Gold Key Award from Meetings and Conventions magazine

There were three restaurants on the grounds, including the Marsh Tavern, its history was that it was the first Tory property seized in an act of American Independence during the Revolutionary War. Other amenities include a 13,000 square-foot Avanyu Spa and fitness center, an off-road driving school, hi-speed wi-fi, three tennis courts, and a chlorine-free indoor pool. Other local outdoor adventures include mountain biking, horseback riding, boating and canoeing, hiking, walking/jogging trails, and fishing the famous Batten Kill river.
